Denver Otteson to play in High School All-American Football Game

Tonopah High School (Nevada) Junior Place Kicker/Punter Denver Otteson has received an official invitation to compete in Max Emfinger’s 2010 High School All-American Bowl Classic.
Emfinger, a national recruiting analyst has been a feature writer for USA TODAY Internet Website, Athlon College Football Magazine, Street and Smith College Football Magazine, Game Plan Magazine, a guest on ESPN’s Roy Firestone, “Up Close and Personal”, and has regular appearances on ESPN TV and FOX Sports TV during recruiting season.
The 2010 High School All-American Bowl Game Advisory Board members chose Otteson after he attended the Max Zendejas Kicking Camp in Mesa AZ. in December of 2008, where he was named the “Top High School Kicker” by Kicking expert Max Zendejas, and watching Game film on Otteson.
Emfinger said the game would be held Jan. 2, 2010 at a site in Texas. Five years ago, Denver’s brother Duffy Otteson played in the All-American game as a strong safety and recorded 6 tackles for the west, that game was held in Shreveport Louisiana in 2005. Duffy went on to play at the University of Nevada as a running back.
The game will features 120 of the top seniors from across the country. There will be East/West squads with 60 players per squad.
Max Emfinger has his own national recruiting magazine known as, Max Emfinger's National High School Recruiting Magazine. He has had many successful college and pro football players grace the cover of his magazine including: Chris Spielman, Jeff George, Emmitt Smith, Sam Adams, Kevin Faulk, Ahman Green, Quincy Carter, Danny Kanell, Chris Weinke, Eric Zeier, Tim Couch, and many others.
Otteson was 38 of 40 on PAT’s and 4 of 5 on Field goals on the 2008 season. He also scored 172 points as the teams top receiver/slot back with 435 yards receiving and 6 TD’s and the teams second leading rusher with 952 yards rushing and 10 TD’s. He was named 1st Team All Conference Offense (Slot back) and 1st Team Defense (Defensive back) and the teams Offensive/Special teams MVP.
