Tonopah Places Fourth at Round Mountain Tournament
At Round Mountain Golf Course; under heavy winds of 40 mph - Matt Newguard carded a 4-over-par 75 to lead Battle Mountain to a win a nonleague match.
Battle Mountain won with a team score of 422, followed by White Pine (481), Round Mountain (486) and Tonopah (547).
Tonopah's Denver Otteson was the medalist with a round of 2-under 69. He was followed by West Wendover's Will Doudy (71), Newguard, Battle Mountain's Trevor Jones (78) and Round Mountain's Clint Wilson (80).
Note: There was 25 mile an hour winds with 40 mile an hour gusts.
