Otteson picks up another tournament win

Tonopah junior golfer Denver Otteson, who was featured in an article last Sunday, picked up his third tournament win earlier this week by shooting a 4-over-par 76 at the Tonopah High School Invitational held at the Bishop Country Club in Bishop, Calif. Otteson blew out the competition at the invitational, winning by eight stokes.

In just his third year playing competitive golf, Otteson has already won three tournaments this season. The most impressive thing about Otteson and the Tonopah golfers is that they do not have a home course to practice at. Instead, they hit off mats into the desert and putt on a homemade green in Otteson's front yard.

Denver shot a season low 69 last month at the Round Mountain High School Invitational.
